Learning & Skills Mentor Level 4 Apprenticeship

As a Learning & Skills Mentor Apprentice, you will:
  • Provide one-to-one and group support to learners to help them progress toward agreed goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, trainers, and other stakeholders to ensure inclusive and learner-centred experiences
  • Encourage self-confidence, independence, and personal development
  • Develop and demonstrate key mentoring behaviours including empathy, ethics, and feedback skills
  • Remain committed to reflective practice and continuous professional development

You will compile a detailed portfolio of evidence, showcasing your competency in real-world mentoring scenarios. This includes:

  • Observations of mentoring sessions
  • Reflective logs
  • Development plans
  • 360° feedback and self-assessment activities

The programme culminates in an End Point Assessment (EPA) — a structured evaluation to confirm your professional competence and readiness.
