At Heart of England Training (HOET), we pride ourselves on nurturing talent and creating opportunities for growth. This month, we shine a spotlight on Muhammed Gadiali, one of our dedicated Team Leaders and Schools and Business Educators, whose journey reflects both passion for education and commitment to learner success.

Career Journey

Muhammed joined HOET in July 2024 as an Educator, bringing with him a wealth of experience in post-16 education. Before joining our team, he worked as a GCSE Maths teacher for a training provider, supporting learners in football academies and study programmes. His career has always centred on helping individuals who didn’t achieve their maths and English qualifications at school, guiding them to success in Functional Skills and GCSE subjects.

In September 2025, Muhammed stepped into a dual role as Team Leader and Educator—a testament to his leadership skills and dedication. His progression within HOET highlights the opportunities available for those who are passionate about making a difference in education.

A Day in the Life

As an Educator, Muhammed’s day is structured around supporting learners. On average, he conducts around five meetings daily, ensuring each learner receives personalised guidance. Alongside these sessions, he dedicates time to marking work and planning, maintaining high standards of feedback and progress tracking.

Recently, Muhammed has incorporated face-to-face delivery into his schedule. Once a month, he visits one of our partner organisations to work directly with learners, reviewing progress and assisting with assignments. This blend of virtual and in-person engagement ensures learners receive comprehensive support throughout their apprenticeship journey.

Highlights and Motivation

For Muhammed, the most rewarding aspect of his role is witnessing learner progress—from initial challenges to achieving qualifications. He values the diversity of learners he works with, spanning sectors such as healthcare, architecture, and even marine training. Each learner brings unique experiences, making his role both dynamic and fulfilling.

What keeps Muhammed motivated? Learners who are eager to develop themselves through apprenticeships. Their drive inspires him to deliver the best possible support and guidance every day.

Gratitude and Support

Muhammed credits his success to the supportive culture at HOET. He extends special thanks to Ben, his line manager, for consistently offering guidance, and to Shannon L, his former team leader, for her invaluable support during his transition into leadership.
