Sports Coach Level 4 Apprenticeship
School Sport Coaches play a vital role in inspiring physical development and boosting pupil wellbeing. By working closely with teachers and other coaching professionals, they apply a whole-child approach to coaching that nurtures both skill and character.
This role is about more than just sport — it’s about shaping confident, active learners through high-quality development and performance experiences.
As a School Sport Coach, you’ll:
- Design engaging programmes to accelerate children’s psychomotor skills
- Deliver meaningful physical education that meets high standards
- Promote inclusion, teamwork, and personal growth
- Support pupils at different competition levels
- Monitor participation and encourage a love of movement
- Contribute to wellbeing and drive positive social change
You’ll also craft your own coaching philosophy, using it to shape practice and influence others within the school’s physical education environment.
