Emily’s Illusions is a salon owned by Emily Burdett in Leicester. Emily’s journey began back in 2012 when she took on an apprenticeship with us in Beauty therapy.

After receiving her qualification, Emily was eager to start her own business as it had always been a dream of hers. That is when after all of her hard work, dedication, and perseverance, she opened up her own salon, Emily’s Illusions.
Emily now hires apprentices herself within her salon and also runs her own training academy. With 8 staff members in total, 2 currently training apprentices and 2 fully qualified apprentices working in her salon, Emily is achieving more as she goes along; there is no stopping her!
An apprentice’s perspective
One of Emily’s apprentices, Isabelle, is currently on industrial placement at Emily’s illusions. Working in Emily’s salon and also having day release to train at Leicester academy, said…
“Working in Emily’s salon, I help out wherever is needed whether that be cleaning or seeing clients.”
“Its really nice to get a feel for what it is like working in a real salon as it gives me the opportunity to gain real salon experience”
We then went on to speak to Jenny, who has been working at Emilys Illusions for almost 3 years and completed her apprenticeship just over a year ago. She said that is really enjoying working in the salon.
“ I enjoy doing nails the most within my role at Emily’s, having this qualification has helped me grow as a person and benefited my confidence and my skills within my beauty work.”
