Charlotte has worked as an Assessor/Educator for 18 years – with Heart of England Training since 2018 and, prior to that, for 15 years at Leicester College. Charlotte’s specialism is within Customer Service and Business Administration, as well as Teaching Assistant and a spot of Team Leader.
Charlotte’s aspiration when she was younger was always to become a primary school teacher. When she finally entered the world of work, however, Charlotte’s new-found passion was in fitness and gym instructing: she trained as a fitness instructor and worked her way up to gym manager, before then going into a training role, teaching others to become gym instructors. Charlotte now loves being able to share her industry experience of administration, customer service and education to deliver quality apprenticeship training…she is currently busy rolling-out a new offering of virtual day courses to support Customer Service Apprentices going forward.
“I love my job, and I love the HOET people”, said Charlotte, who in particularly wanted to thank Liam, Gemma, Fleur, Pippa and Sue for being so welcoming and supportive when she first joined the company. She also loves OneFile (the e-portfolio system we use) and the great relationships she has with our Business Development team!
Charlotte has very proudly seen all of her learners at Fulcrum Automotive go through with Distinction, and also has worked with some fantastic learners at St. John the Baptist School, where one of her learners was the runner-up in the 2020 National Apprenticeship Awards for Apprentice of the Year…
Charlotte champions apprenticeships because not all people are inclined to the university route: “the live industry experience and qualification can set you head and shoulders above others…it’s definitely the way forward”.
Outside of work, Charlotte is a keen wrestling fan and has also been on TV in the audience of Big Brother Series 3, in which a colleague at the time was a contestant!
