Learners completing the NHS and Well-being pathway of the Activity Coach Level 2 apprenticeship will be aligned to NHS priorities around prevention, wellbeing and improving lives, the role uses physical activity to support healthier, more active communities.
They work in community‑based sport and physical activity roles across charities, local authorities, care settings, youth services, leisure provision and community organisations.
As an Activity Coach Apprentice, you will:
- Promote active communities and healthy lifestyles
- Plan and deliver inclusive activity sessions
- Develop coaching skills, communication and participant engagement
- Gain confidence in coaching and supporting others
- Work in the community and professional practice with internal and external stakeholders
You’ll compile a portfolio of evidence demonstrating your knowledge, skills, and behaviours which will form part of your apprenticeship assessment in the form of a professional discussion.
