Teaching Assistants work in primary, special and secondary education across all age ranges encompassing special educational needs and emotional vulnerabilities. The primary school role of the Teaching Assistant is to support the class teacher to enhance pupils’ learning either in groups or individually, by ensuring pupils understand the work set, know their learning objectives and stay on-task in order to make progress. Promoting self-belief, social inclusion and self-esteem plays an integral part to pupils’ wellbeing, ensuring pupils thrive in a positive, nurturing, safe environment.

This offer combines Teaching Assistant and PE Assistant. A PE Teaching Assistant apprentice would work alongside the head of PE and PE Technicians, involved in the design, leading and delivery of a variety of sports sessions to students. It is an active role: supporting the learner to access the curriculum. They are good role models, act with honesty and integrity, take part in team meetings and contribute to planning/class activities.

Our TA education team is here for you. All of our Educators have substantial industry and TA / school sector experience so they are best placed to support, mentor and guide you through to achievement.

If you work more than 16 hours per week you will probably be eligible to take this funded course with the support of your employer. Contact us to find out more.
