Activity Coach Level 2 Apprenticeship – Community Sport and Physical Activity Sector
Learners within this role use sport and physical activity to improve health, wellbeing and social outcomes. Activity Coaches plan and deliver fun, inclusive activities that encourage people to be more active and help communities develop positive, long‑term relationships with physical activity.
Activity Coaches in this sector are found in work in community sport and physical activity settings, including charities, local authorities, sports clubs, leisure centres, youth and after‑school provision, housing associations and outdoor education.
As an Activity Coach Apprentice, you will:
- Communicate with stakeholders, such as internal teams and external organisations
- Provide a positive environment which supports people to grow
- Promote, deliver and coach through fun, inclusive and engaging activities
- Gain confidence in coaching and supporting others
- Deliver high-quality service while meeting deadlines and maintaining compliance
You’ll compile a portfolio of evidence demonstrating your knowledge, skills, and behaviours which will form part of your apprenticeship assessment in the form of a professional discussion.
