Our full-time courses are based at our salons or football academies and involve classroom-based and practical learning; you will attend 3-5 days per week. Apprenticeships are a job with accredited training. You will usually work full time with paid time for off the job training.

You will take part in some form of an assessment at the end of your course or apprenticeship. This will vary depending on your qualification. For more information, read here.

Off-the-job training is the time an apprentice spends learning new knowledge, skills and behaviours away from their normal day-to-day work duties. This can include training sessions, workshops, online learning, assignments, shadowing, or studying towards their qualification.

An apprenticeship is a paid job where you work and learn at the same time. You’ll gain real experience, study towards a recognised qualification and get support from both your employer and training provider.

No. Apprenticeships are funded by the government and your employer, so you don’t pay any tuition fees. Learn more here.

After completing your apprenticeship, you may progress into a more senior role, take on additional responsibilities, or continue your development through a higher-level apprenticeship or further training.

• Some apprenticeships are only available for certain ages.
• Individual employers may set their own entry requirements.

The length of an apprenticeship depends on the programme and level. Each of our apprenticeship pages will give the time frames.

The minimum amount of time you must spend on an apprenticeship is 8 months and some qualifications can last up to around 24 months.

A handful of apprenticeships are age restricted, but most are available to anyone 16+ who is no longer in full-time education.

We offer a range of apprenticeships and levels in salons, schools, business and nurseries.

Apprenticeships can start throughout the year, depending on employer vacancies and programme availability. Once you’ve secured an apprenticeship role, your training will begin on an agreed date between you, your employer and the training provider.

You will need to provide time each week for your apprentice to complete their apprenticeship work and off the job training. You will need to contribute to 3-monthly reviews and support your apprentice with exposure to new tasks and opportunities to enhance their experience.

You can advertise an apprentice job role through the usual avenues. You do have to advertise an apprentice role on the National Apprenticeship Service.

• NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy

Hairdressing full-time courses:

• An Award, Certificate or Diploma in Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector
• NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing

Barbering full-time courses:

• An Award, Certificate or Diploma in Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector
• NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Barbering

Football Education full-time courses:

• Sports Coaching & Development (BTEC Level 3)
• Level 2 VTCT in Sports Studies
• Level 3 Active IQ in Coaching Sport

Our salon-based full time courses are a year long, and our football education courses can last between 1-3 years depending on the qualification.

Our full-time courses follow academic term times and dates.

Our football academies have pre-season in August and then all academies start education and training in September.

Our full-time courses are available for people aged 16-19 years old.

We have salon locations in Rugby and in Leicester.

Our football education locations are: Leicester, Birmingham, Northampton, Peterborough, and Warwick.

There are no formal entry requirements to join our programmes. However, if you do not hold a GCSE grade of 4 in maths and/or English we will incorporate these functional skills or GCSE’s into your training. When joining the programme you will first have an interview with a member of the team at the Academy to check your eligibility, we look at additional needs required, behaviour and interest in the programme during this stage.

Our full-time courses are free for 16-18 year olds.
