What is National Apprenticeship Week?
National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is a week-long celebration that takes place in February. It brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a line on the positive impact an apprenticeship can make for everyone!
This year’s theme was Skills for Life, a reflection on how apprenticeships can help individuals develop their knowledge whilst becoming equipped with future-ready skills.
From our apprentice’s perspective…
Prior to the celebration, we launched a campaign asking learners to send us a photo or short video on their experience doing an apprenticeship with us.
You can find the full-video on our YouTube Channel – Click here
Celebrating equality and diversity…
Meanwhile at our Academies, our Hair & Beauty learners got creative, celebrating HOET’s commitment to the LGBT+ community. Working in teams, they designed their own inspired hair and make-up look using products that were made available to them, following a LGBT+ theme.

We were very excited about showcasing the outstanding work our apprentices have been involved with this past year. Thank you to all the learners, educators and academy staff for taking part, encouraging everyone to consider how an apprenticeship can give you #SkillsforLife.
