Aasha Devi recently completed her HLTA level 4 diploma with us at Heart of England Training at Penn Hall school.
The Higher-Level Teaching Assistant Level 4 Qualification
The Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification is aimed at people employed in a teaching assistant role who wish to develop their knowledge and skills: gaining HLTA status is a recognised progression route for school support staff. HLTAs work closely with teachers to raise standards and help each student reach their full potential.
Are there any entry requirements?
Whilst candidates are not required to be employed whilst completing the qualification, there is a requirement of:
- 50 Hours of work placement
- Hold a level 2 or equivalent in English and maths
- Have access to IT equipment (in order to complete 7 online modules)
We wanted to hear about Aasha’s experience studying with us, so we decided to ask her a few questions and here is what she had to say.
“I chose to complete a HLTA to further my career in education, to help and support my teacher and most importantly bring fresh ideas for a learning environment for children and young people.”
Here at Heart of England Training we take great pride in how we deliver our training to all of our learners and educators, and we really take the time to get to know our learners and stick by their side until they finish their course.
Learner Feedback
“The assessor was very approachable and was able to help and assist with any queries and guidance we needed. Communication was very prompt via telephone or emails.”
“Since completing the course, I have gained a better knowledge and understanding on how to teach learners at different levels and abilities. To structure and plan lessons to suit the learner. This has enabled me to be more confident in my role.”
After hearing all of Aasha’s amazing feedback, we asked her why she would recommend this course to another TA thinking of completing? She responded with;
“I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wish to become a HLTA. The support and guidance provided by the tutor and the assessor is of a high standard.”
