A Level 2 Hairdressing apprenticeship is perfect for school leavers who are looking to start a career as a Hairdresser and earn a wage whilst training.
The Level 2 Hair Professional Apprenticeship Standard is designed to equip you with the knowledge and technical ability to become a professional hairdresser. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- creatively assess client requirements
- shampoo and condition hair
- cut, style and finish hair using a range of techniques
- colour and lighten hair
- work with all hair types including short, long, straight and curly
The course will give you the confidence to carry-out consultations with clients, whilst demonstrating the professionalism, values, behaviours, communication skills and safe working practices associated with the role. You will also become able to work without supervision to a high level of precision with exceptional client care skills.
You are likely to interact with many different types of clients, plus the team at the salon, as well as other hair and beauty professionals. Knowing how to use different marketing channels will be key in advertising yourself, the organisation, products and services.
