- We run a commercial salon allowing learners to training and learn on paying clients, giving you more confidence and better experience to get you ready for work in the industry

COURSE INFORMATION
Our Hair and Beauty programmes include:
- An Award, Certificate or Diploma in an Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector
Course content includes: Shampooing, plaiting and twisting, using temporary colour, basic manicures and pedicures, basic facials, nail art, basic makeup application, health and safety, section skills, working in a team and presenting a professional image.
- NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing
Course content includes, Eyelash and brow treatments, facials, waxing, manicures and pedicures and makeup application
- NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy
Course content includes: Consultation skills, basic cutting techniques, colouring, style and finish, setting techniques, perming
- NVQ Level 2 Barbering
Course content includes: Consultation skills, shampooing, cutting men’s hair, cut facial hair into shape, dry and finish men’s hair, create basic outline and detailing in hair

Facilities
Facilities at our Rugby Academy include: Commercial hairdressing salon, commercial beauty therapy salon, theory classrooms, student breakout rooms.
Maths and English
Whilst on our full-time courses you will be supported with Maths and English if you have not completed this in school. This could involve taking Functional Skills qualifications or even retaking GCSE’s.
Work Experience
During your course, we will support you with work experience which will assist you when the time comes to decide on your next steps. Work experience hours can vary from 6 hours to 350 hours depending on your qualifications.
