The 15th annual National Apprenticeship Week is taking place on the 7th – 13th February 2022, with the theme ‘Build the Future’ returning for its second year.

What is National Apprenticeship Week?

National Apprenticeship Week is a week-long celebration that highlights the benefits apprenticeships can have on individuals, businesses, and local communities across the country. Employers are encouraged to promote the work their apprentices have been involved in, shining a light on the positive differences apprenticeships can make to individuals and the wider community.

The theme ‘Build the Future’ continues from 2021. Reflecting on how apprenticeships can help individuals develop essential skills and knowledge required for a successful career, and how businesses can develop a talented workforce with future-ready skills by hiring an apprentice.

How are we involved?

National Apprenticeship Week brings together individuals, employers, training providers and Ambassadors. Encouraging everyone to consider how apprenticeships can help #BuildTheFuture. At Heart of England Training, we see apprenticeships as an ideal way to get started in any chosen career. They are no longer portrayed as a career step only for young people, existing staff can get involved too! Although it is a little while off yet, we are very excited about showcasing the outstanding work our apprentices have been involved in over the past year.

More information on National Apprenticeship Week 2022 will be announced on GOV.UK and on social media channels, @Apprenticeships on Twitter and National Apprenticeship Service on Linkedin.
