What will the apprentice be doing?
The successful candidate will work on a rotational basis in 4-5 teams to include Reception, Events, HR and Finance and perhaps one of our research programs.
The purpose of the role is to support the various teams in their work to deliver on their objectives for the apprenticeships entire 15 months duration.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, enthusiastic young person who has a strong desire to learn and enhance CGD’s operations and mission in international development.
As a Business Administration Apprentice, your typical day will involve various administrative tasks within the company. You’ll:
· Assist with organising and scheduling appointments, meetings, and events.
· Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, letters, and phone calls.
· Maintain electronic filing systems, ensuring documents are organized and accessible.
· Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as required by the team.
· Assist with data entry, record-keeping, and database management tasks.
· Provide general administrative support to colleagues.
· Collaborate with team members on special projects or initiatives as needed.
· Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in business administration.
· Your day as an apprentice will be varied and dynamic, offering valuable opportunities to develop your administrative skills while contributing to the efficiency and success of the company.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- All training to be provided during paid working hours.
- Your training will be held remotely via teams from an educator at Heart of England Training.
- Sessions will be every 3 weeks for 1.5 hours, you will also have communication with your educator between sessions and work set to be completed.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Following their training, the successful applicant can apply for a role in a range of sectors for administrative work. The apprenticeship will not lead to employment at CGD at the end.
