Level 2 Apprenticeship | Barbering

Why choose us?

Our barbering apprenticeships are suitable for school leavers looking to start their careers and those already working in a role who want to gain an industry related qualification…

The Level 2 Barbering Apprenticeship Standard is designed to equip you with the knowledge and technical ability to become a professional barber. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • shampoo and condition hair
  • cut hair using a range of techniques
  • cut facial hair into shape
  • provide grooming services specifically for men

The course will give you the confidence to carry-out consultations with clients, whilst demonstrating the professionalism, values, behaviours, communication skills and safe working practices associated with the role. You will also become able to work without supervision to a high level of precision with exceptional client care skills.

You are likely to interact with many different types of clients, plus the team at the barbershop. Knowing how to use different marketing channels will be key in advertising yourself, the organisation, products and services.

Testimonies

“We have found that apprenticeships are a great way to encourage staff into the Teaching Assistant role while gaining qualifications on the job. It also enables our existing Teaching Assistants to advance their careers through further qualifications and knowledge” Kelly, Caldecote Community Primary School
“The program was incredibly beneficial, particularly when transitioning into a new sector or taking on responsibilities requiring specialised knowledge” Gordon, School Business Professional Level 4 Apprentice
“Throughout I have had lots of support and frequent meetings with my educator. I have also had 1 to 1 sessions to assist my learning and aid me in reflecting on my practise. I feel like I could have approached anyone for support at any time which was amazing.” Shauna, Former Teaching Assistant Level 2 Apprentice
