Macie’s Determination Leads to Success at St Joseph’s

Celebrating an Inspiring Apprenticeship Journey

We’re proud to celebrate the incredible perseverance and achievement of Macie Carr, a Teaching Assistant Level 3 apprentice at St Joseph’s within the EMMAUS Multi Academy Trust.

Overcoming Challenges with Resilience

Macie has demonstrated outstanding resilience throughout her apprenticeship journey, particularly in achieving her Functional Skills qualification in Maths. After four determined attempts, and a huge amount of hard work and dedication, she has successfully passed—an achievement that reflects her commitment to personal and professional growth.

Reaching Gateway and Looking Ahead

Now having reached this important milestone, Macie has officially entered the Gateway stage of her apprenticeship and is on track to complete her TA Level 3. Even more impressively, she is already looking ahead, with plans to continue her development by progressing onto the Teaching Assistant Level 5 apprenticeship.

Macie’s Words of Thanks

Speaking about her journey, Macie shared:

“I just wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone at HOET for everything you’ve done to support me with my maths.

I truly appreciate all the time, effort, and care you have put into helping me. There were times when I found things really challenging, but you all always supported me, explained things in ways I could understand, and kept me motivated. That meant a lot, and I’m so so grateful.”

Recognising Individual Support

Macie also recognised the individual support she received from the team:

“Dan and Karina, both of your patience, encouragement, and belief in me have made such a difference, and I honestly couldn’t have done it without you both, and everyone at HOET.

Thank you again for going above and beyond—your support hasn’t gone unnoticed, and it all means more than you will ever know.”
