Heart of England Training (HOET) is proud to recognise the hard work and dedication of Tiggy Manners, who has now entered the final assessment stage of her Level 4 Associate Project Manager apprenticeship while working at Inzpire. Her journey so far reflects strong commitment, continuous growth and a genuine passion for developing her project management career.
Choosing the Apprenticeship Path
Starting out in her project management career, Tiggy recognised that hands‑on experience alongside structured learning would give her the strongest foundation for success. Reflecting on her decision to choose an apprenticeship, she shared:
“As I was just starting out in my project management career, I thought an apprenticeship route would suit me, to allow me to grow my professional experience within my role and alongside my APM learning.”
From the moment she connected with HOET, Tiggy felt confident that the programme aligned perfectly with her goals and learning style:
“From the initial enrolment conversation, I felt Heart of England would be the right choice to help build my experience in line with their knowledge, skills and behaviour targets.”
Her apprenticeship allowed her to take on meaningful responsibilities early on, including leading her first project through to delivery — an experience that became a cornerstone of her development.
A Supportive and Motivational Learning Experience
One of the standout elements of Tiggy’s journey was the support she received from her HOET educator, Tracey. Tiggy described Tracey as a driving force behind her motivation and confidence:
“Tracey was fantastic in the support and feedback she gave me… She really understood my ways of working and how to keep me motivated.”
Whether it was breaking down targets into manageable tasks or offering detailed feedback, Tracey helped Tiggy stay on track without feeling overwhelmed. The blend of structured online learning days and accessible resources also helped her to reinforce her knowledge:
“The recordings were beneficial, as I could look back on anything I wanted to re‑cover, alongside the PowerPoints.”
Growing in Confidence and Capability
Despite joining with no prior project management qualifications, Tiggy excelled in the programme and quickly applied her new skills to real-world work:
“The course has helped me to apply and understand key knowledge, skills and behaviours in my everyday working life… I think the apprenticeship has also increased my confidence in my role.”
This confidence didn’t go unnoticed. Inzpire has seen tremendous value in Tiggy’s growth, highlighting how the apprenticeship accelerated her development and contribution to the business.
A Manager’s Perspective: Impact on Inzpire
Tiggy’s manager, Andy Woodrow, praised both her progress and HOET’s delivery:
“The overall experience has been exceptionally positive… The quality of the tutor guidance was first class.”
He noticed how quickly Tiggy progressed while undertaking her apprenticeship:
“This programme has enabled Tiggy to develop and grow in confidence and capability far more rapidly.”
This led to Tiggy being given the opportunity to lead and deliver a project independently, which she did successfully — a standout achievement for her:
“Tiggy has effectively taken on and successfully delivered a project… covering the whole project lifecycle.”
Her growth has not only strengthened the project management function at Inzpire but has also supported broader business goals through increased capability and resource flexibility.
Advice for Future Apprentices
Tiggy strongly encourages others to explore the apprenticeship route, offering this guidance:
“Ensure the course is the right fit for you… It’s a great opportunity to gain real life experience while learning, growing your confidence and developing your knowledge, skills and behaviours.”
She also wholeheartedly recommends HOET:
“HOET have been great with their guidance and support… Tracey has been a highlight of the course.”
Looking Ahead
Tiggy’s apprenticeship will lay a strong foundation for continued growth within Inzpire and the wider project management profession. Her achievements demonstrate the power of combining structured learning with real-world experience — and how the right support can unlock remarkable potential.
Heart of England Training is incredibly proud of Tiggy’s success and excited to see where her career progresses next.
