Lola Mullins, Business Administration Apprentice at Canon chose to complete her apprenticeship with Heart of England Training, in order to start her career within a Human Resource position.

Lola was toying between an Apprenticeship or CIPD course but what appealed to her more with an apprenticeship was that she “liked the idea of being able to work/learn and complete her apprenticeship at the same time” she said, “This was an amazing opportunity to gain hands-on experience and industry knowledge as well as improving and gaining skills”

One thing Lola has enjoyed most about her apprenticeship, is having the chance to work with many different people/teams and learning so much from them.

Lola was keen to get involved in the recruitment side of the business and working in part of the HR team has allowed her to develop her knowledge in this area.

Lola’s Experience with Heart of England Training

Lola has really enjoyed the training she has received so far by Heart of England Training. Lola mentioned the seamless process she has had with many team members from her initial contact with Joanna who made her feel welcome and gave her the knowledge she needed to begin her course to her helpful sessions with her Educator Anne.

“I really enjoyed my Day Courses with Charlotte” she said, “they were very informative, and all apprentices had the opportunity to ask lots of questions”.

Lola’s top piece of advice

When asked what advice she would give to someone who is considering an apprenticeship, Lola said; “Go for it, it is a great opportunity to work and learner, you will gain and improve on essential skills which you can use in future job roles”.

She also went on to say, “By completing an Apprenticeship, you would have gained a qualification as well as over a year’s experience in a relevant role”. This course is giving Lola the invaluable experience needed for her to progress in her chosen career.
