How to use an apprenticeship to grow in a new role

Why should you decide to do an apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships offer a great opportunity for you to gain a qualification whilst learning on the job. Louise Marshall Jones was a learner studying the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship with us working at Aspens Services who has just passed with a distinction! Congratulations Louise on all of your hard work from everyone at Heart of England Training.

So, we asked Louise why she chose to complete an apprenticeship, “I wanted to do an apprenticeship because I had taken on a new role within my workplace and wanted to gain more knowledge behind it”. This is a great example of how to use an apprenticeship to grow in a new role. Louise went on to also add how she has recommended an apprenticeship to all of her team and mentions that “They are a fantastic way to learn something new!”.

Learner Feedback

We asked Louise what she has enjoyed most about her apprenticeship, “I really enjoyed the day courses as Charlotte, who leads these was very knowledgeable about the topics and I found the day courses to be very informative”. We provide day courses for many of our apprenticeship qualifications. Our day courses are led by our educators who have extensive industry knowledge and experience in the subjects that they teach. Day courses allow for our learners to understand about the knowledge elements of their apprenticeship in more detail and meet other fellow learners during the session.

Louise also added “I found Heart of England Training really focus on getting the best for their students as well as being very supportive.” In addition to an overview on her training received she also wanted to mention her educator to “Fay my tutor was always on hand if I needed her and was my biggest supporter when I needed a boost”

We passed on this lovely feedback to Fay who also wanted to give thanks to Louise for her time and effort during her apprenticeships. “Louise approached her apprenticeship with enthusiasm, positivity and an eagerness to learn. She showed a real commitment to her studies often researching independently after her interest in topics had been sparked by the day course. Louise’s confidence and skills have grown throughout the course and her success is well-deserved.”
