Jason Kelly is a hard working and dedicated team member at Sydenham Lewisham school. He recently received the good news that he passed with flying colours in his School Business Professional Level 4 course with Heart of England Training.

With the help of Jason’s educator, Heidi Johnson, Jason told us that he found it easy to work through his apprenticeship as well as going into depth on what his overall experience was like studying an apprenticeship with us.

“I really enjoyed my training, I felt that my educator Heidi was very supportive and constantly helped me to find additional sources of learning such as day courses, online courses, webinars and books.”

Upon the completion of Jason’s Apprenticeship, he gave us a little insight into how he found it overall and he then continued on to give us some advice that he would recommend to anybody else that is looking to start an apprenticeship with Heart of England Training.

“I would definitely recommend an apprenticeship with HOET, it was an overall enjoyable experience and hopefully now that I have passed, the diploma will help me to progress even further in my career.”

“One piece of advice that I would give would be to embrace and enjoy the learning. Find ways that you can connect your current tasks and projects within your role with expanding your knowledge of different areas, talk to colleagues about their roles and expertise and soak up as much as you can.”

Jason’s Educator, Heidi, left us with some lovely feedback on what it was like having Jason as a learner.

“Jason faced several staffing challenges during his apprenticeship, but those didn’t get in the way of his success! Jason was hardworking & dedicated throughout his apprenticeship and produced some very good work. Jason was always conscious of his off the job hours & paid attention to detail. This is evident with him being able to go into Gateway earlier than planned & to achieve his overall grade. Well done Jason!”
