Coventry Sport Academy
Our full-time Football Education programme is delivered in association with Carl Baker Football Academy. Carl Baker played for and captained Coventry City FC over a five-year spell as well as playing for and gaining promotion with MK Dons FC and Portsmouth FC.
Which courses can you study at Coventry?
Our Coventry Football Education programme has two routes:
- NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Activity Leadership
- Level 2 Certificate/Diploma in Coaching Sport
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Supporting the Delivery of PE & School Sport
- BTEC Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Sports Coaching & Development
- BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching & Development
Both routes prepare you for a career in Sport or Coaching. Some former learners now play for professional football clubs in the UK or coach in the USA. Other popular routes after completion of these courses include apprenticeships, higher education, teaching, training and semi-professional contracts.
