Despite it having been rather an odd year for education, we are pleased to look back on a highly successful string of apprenticeships delivered throughout Northamptonshire schools. We have provided apprenticeship training for teaching and non-teaching staff (both new and existing) from School Business Managers to Teaching Assistants.

Our current portfolio of schools-based qualifications includes:

  • School Business Professional Level 4
  • Teaching Assistant Level 3
  • Learning Mentor Level 3
  • PE Teaching Assistant Level 3
  • Early Years Practitioner Level 2

We also run a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Level 4 course as a virtual distance learning option.

On the Government’s apprenticeship provider website, we are ranked in the top 3 for our Teaching Assistant qualification and are rated “excellent” by employers. We are very proud of this feedback…

“Can I just take this opportunity to say how impressed we have been by Leigh Oxley – he has inspired Molly and she has worked really hard and now is looking to complete her degree. I feel that this is due to the confidence she has gained from Leigh and the support that he has given her. I would also add that both Riv and Simon are always easy to get hold of and positive to work with – the latest apprentice we have taken-on after a recruitment campaign by HOET is settling in brilliantly and has already had an impact on the children that he is working with.” (S. Taylor, Headteacher regarding our Teaching Assistant Level 3 qualification and free recruitment service)

“This course has enabled me to equip myself with the latest tools and methodologies, which has resulted in boosting my confidence to work as a TA. It has not only provided me a foundation in teaching but also has encouraged me to pursue teaching as a profession.” (S. Khan, a Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprentice)

“I found the course very helpful and informative.  I must admit I was a little apprehensive but the Educators put me at ease.  Easy to follow and informative.  Di explained it in a way which could be understood with questions being answered along the way. I found the breakout rooms very helpful being able to swap ideas and reminded of situations which could be looked at as part of marketing.  Also comparing other people’s experiences with your own.” (N. Wright, Office Manager regarding our Marketing day course for School Business Professional Level 4)
