Charlotte Campbell has recently received her qualification upon completing the Marketing Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship course with Heart of England Training.

Charlotte told us that having left school with her GCSE’s, but no other additional qualifications, she was keen to further her education and felt that studying an apprenticeship with HOET was the perfect opportunity for her.

“I hope to continue my studying further, hopefully at degree level in the future. This apprenticeship has given me the confidence to believe I can continue studying to a higher level.”

Marketing positions are found  in every sector and industry across commercial, public sector and not-for-profit organisations. The purpose of the Multi-Channel Marketer role is to support customer-focused marketing activities that drive the demand for a product or service through awareness-raising and perception-building to generate results. As part of the marketing team, the Marketing Assistant will contribute to the implementation of the Marketing strategy and plans with the focus on promoting their business.

The Marketing Assistant Qualification will require skills such as…

  • Organising offline and digital assets in a coordinated & legally compliant way
  • Use research and survey software
  • Application of creativity to use a website content management system
  • Use social media platforms
  • Use email delivery systems

Charlotte continues to tell us what she has enjoyed most about her apprenticeship, the challenges that she has faced along the way and what the final outcome was like for her.

“I have enjoyed pushing myself and gaining confidence in my own ability. I have the found the hands-on approach to learning has really suited the way I learn and work.”

Overall, the marketing assistant job role is a very active role, no two days are the same and there are always plenty of new opportunities and pathways to be taken as you progress, as well as there being a new skill to learn every day. Charlotte went into detail on what she thinks about the marketing Apprenticeship and told us whether she would recommend it to others looking to do a similar apprenticeship.

“Yes, I would definitely recommend doing this apprenticeship. I have really enjoyed learning about something that I find interesting and being given the opportunity to implement the knowledge learnt into the real world through projects and tasks.”

Charlotte then finished on a high note by giving us some more wonderful feedback on her overall experience by giving some advice on what she would say to anybody else that is out there wanting to study and apprenticeship with Heart of England Training…

“My key advice is to document everything, I found writing notes at the end of the day when you have done something relevant to criteria then uploading straight to the Learning Journal. Also ask questions, the educators are more than happy to help.”
