Holly joined Heart of England Training 17 years ago in 2006. Before Holly excelled in her many roles with us she started off with us as an Apprentice with us completing her Level 3 Beauty Qualification and assisting Educators within the Academy. She then became and Educator at the Academy, and in 2012 moved on to becoming the Academy Manager at our Birmingham Academy.

With a small break in the middle to have her children, Holly returned as the Academy Manager in Coventry before landing in her current position as Staff Training and Development Lead after doing a split role for a few years.

When asked why she chose to make this career change holly said, “I just love teaching and I wanted to pass my knowledge on to everyone around me. I felt I could support the staff in staff training and because I have worked here for such a long time, I feel I have gained plenty of knowledge throughout the years.”

One person that Holly wanted to talk about who helped her in the start career journey at Heart of England Training was Vicki Williams Ward, she was Hollys Educators when she first started, Holly added “She gave me the opportunities that I had to start in the company. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t be where I am now today.”

In the latter part of her career with us Holly wanted to also thank Rachel Timms for always believing in her and allowed her to progress within the company.

One word Holly would use to describe herself would be Loyal, which I think shows in her dedication within her job role here.

When we asked Holly what she enjoyed most about working with Heart of England Training; she said this:

“There are so many different things, but I love the culture of the company, I really believe in what we do. We have fantastic new and old staff; we are a very supportive organisation. To go from an apprentice to an assistant to the position that I am in now, it just goes to show that the senior leadership are very pro-progression which I love, and I think it is very important that people have the opportunity to progress.”

Holly finished with – I love my job!
